The Search for Unconditional Love

Without them being aware of it, something was missing from the lives of Steve and his partner, Bayu. That is, until they met the adorable and undoubtedly glamorous, miniature poodle, Rina.

This is Rina’s autobiography. It begins with the sadness of her early days when she was rejected by those she’d held high hopes of loving and being loved in return. It was not to be.

Then, one sunny day on the Island of the Gods, Bali, when Rina had almost given up hope of ever finding ‘the ones’, she met Steve and Bayu and was instantly smitten. At last she’d found her people.

It was love at first sight.

She held her breath, waiting to find out if they’ll be permitted to adopt her and when, at last, the word came that she was to join them, her heart swelled with joy.

Not only did Rina give her heart to Steve and Bayu, but they adored her every bit as much in return.

From then on, her story was filled with love and fun as she shared her life with these two, and, together, they made a family of three.

Her boys, as she came to think of them, were rarely out of her sight. She accompanied them everywhere. They dined out almost every night and took off together on many long and short breaks to gorgeous holiday venues. While Bali is a paradise for holidaymakers it was also paradise for the pampered pooch Rina became.

In telling the story of her happy years with Steve and Bayu, Rina takes us on the journey with her, revealing anecdotes and telling tales out-of-school about life with these two loving men who had stolen her heart.

Along the way there are a million laughs and as many tears. But it’s Rina’s story to tell, with all the delights and sadness of a life filled with glorious times and enormous love.
